With the aid of Samuel Pepy's Diary we are transported back to 1666 and relive the days of the Great Fire of London. We experience life in the crowded streets of London, just prior to the Fire. Why did the fire spread so quickly and what attempts were made to try and control it? What different methods of transport did the people of London use to escape this disaster? See how the King of England, Charles the second, physically tried to stop the fire and how he actively encouraged Londoners to do the same.
Meet Christopher Wren and be involved in his plans to rebuild the city of London.
During this workshop the children will portray different characters, as well as becoming the fire. They actively participate throughout the workshop and decide how they want to rebuild the city of London.
