The children particularly commented on how funny the toy soldier was. She also said there was a good mixture of characters for both girls and boys (i.e. a male figure and a female figure). The children really enjoyed the participation song.
THE OLD TOY SHOP (FOR 4-7 YEARS, 1 hr.)
This show is available signed

Mrs Duster tries to keep the Old Toy Shop tidy and clean, but she is not as young as she used to be and all the toys are covered in dust and no one wants to buy them.
When Mr cool and Mrs Rush enter the shop to buy some presents, they are unimpressed and they leave empty handed, as " there is nothing worth buying". Mrs Duster wishes things were different, but decides that the time has come, to sell the toy shop and retires for the evening. The toys, horrified at the prospect of Mrs Duster closing the toyshop come to the conclusion that they must take matters into their own hands. Adventure Man and Belinda Bear appear from the toybox to play their part although some of their plays lack purpose and thought. It's up to Merlin the Magician and a rather grumpy Fifi the Fairy to come to the rescue as they endeavour to salvage the situation and turn Mrs Duster's decision  around.
By eventually working together they succeed their mission with a bit of good fortune coming Mrs Duster's way at the end of the play.

This is a story full of hope, friendship and fun, packed with familiar songs, that children can sing along to. This show offers audience participation throughout.
